13 Mar 1719/20: warrant of resurvey out of his Lordship's Land Office granted to John Dent of Chas Co to resurvey four tracts of land, namely Cumberton of 200A, Reading of 300A, Evans Addition of 100A, and Barnaby (originally granted to John Dent "the father ye afd John Dent") of 60A, reducing them into one tract of land and adding to it any contiguous lands that he should find vacant. 19 Aug 1720: Robert Hanson, deputy surveyor, issued a certificate of resurvey in the name of John Dent for the above mentioned tracts with the addition of 509A of vacant land to be called "Dent's Inheritance", lying in Chas Co on NS of branch called Piles Fresh [later called Gilberts Swamp] and now laid out for 1169A, to be held of Calverton Manor. 3 Apr 1721: Capt John Dent paid caution money in bills sterling for 509A of vacant land, and patent was granted for same «LOR AM1:405» |
